about

what you are about to read is a product of an anxiety-filled hour of writing:

this album kind of serves as a sequel to Fading Out of History, but at the same time, it doesn't. it serves to be a lot more reality-driven. it has a lot more stories from my personal life, as i have a lot of things going on that i suppose would make good songs. i find solace in inserting my life into music. i use music as some sort of diary, i suppose. i incorporated elements of sprechgesang into this album, as i've been listening to a lot of Black Country, New Road lately. i noticed that Isaac Wood does a lot of sprechgesang in the album For the first time. i also wanted to incorporate a lot of piano pieces on this album. i was inspired by my friend Jera to do so, but she doesn't know this. i go to church with her, and she plays piano in the church band while i play drums for it.

part of me is kind of tired of making music, but at the same time, i can't stop. i dunno, it's like i have no purpose if i stop making music. at the same time, what's the point if no one listens? i've kind of learned to deal with it, and i know that people will come here eventually. people have bought my stuff, so i know there's some people listening which is cool.

i'm kind of just mentally tired, as well. if it wasn't obvious already, i suffer from various severe mental illnesses as well as trauma. it's been hard for me to make relationships work because of this, whether it be romantic or platonic. most of my songs as of late have been about failing relationships. i have no way else to talk about it, as i feel like i'm boring my therapist about it.
